If you didn’t already know, October is Stroke Awareness Month—a time to spotlight one of the leading causes of disability worldwide.🧠 Key fact: Up to 80% of strokes are preventable through healthy lifestyle choices and regular medical care.  🚨 Key action: Remember F.A.S.T. Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call emergency services.   Although given my understanding about the episode,  I actually prefer B.E.L.F.A.S.T.— Which stands for Balance, Eyes, Legs, Face, Arms, Speech, Time.

This month, let’s commit to prevention, education, and supporting stroke survivors in our communities.

📅 World Stroke Day is October 29—a reminder that time = brain. Together, awareness saves lives. 💜. The quicker someone reacts to a stroke, potential stroke the more of the brain is saved so please remember the important take home point which is simply TIME = BRAIN

There are so so many misconceptions surrounding stroke but trust me, ANYONE CAN HAVE A STROKE and that’s ANYONE at ANY AGE.

One thing that sets us at StrokeInformation apart is that we care because we’ve been there, Watch out on social media and other areas for something special from us to celebrate World Stroke Day and if you use # please get involved by putting this #WorldStrokeDay
