Hello April, how are you? How are things?
Yes I honestly cannot believe that we turn 10 (TEN) this month, how far have I actually come in the last 13 years, there has been a lot of highs and some lows but the main thing is that Im still here and I know that what I started 10 years ago is still working and continues to provide support, information, some would say inspiration and above all else HOPE. Speaking of HOPE here are 2 of our Steady Eddie Mascots outside Wembley with owners Alfie & Harry hoping for a Wembley win for the blue hatters and bringing the Vertu Cup back to SK3……….
Our WhatsApp community is now well over 100 strong and it continues to grow, if you have WhatsApp and have been impacted by stroke then we would love to add you to our community and show you how we can help. The same can be said about our FREE drop ins which take place every Monday (Except BANK HOLIDAYS) at 23 High Street, Stockport, SK1 1EG (Disability Stockport) no need for an appointment just pop in, on your own or with a family member and again we can show you exactly what it is that we do that works. Dont worry if you physically cant make it or get there as it may be a bit too far, if you like you can join FREE of charge via Zoom (you will have to let me know by contacting me, so I can send you the invite.
Please also dont forget that you can join in our celebrations for our 10th Birthday by attending our birthday party on Saturday 18th April 2026 at Edgeley Park, the home of Stockport County, we have an Ed Sheeran experience that you will not want to miss, a fabulous 2 course meal, our wonderful master of ceremonies will be the Manchester United Legend that is the voice of Old Trafford (Alan Keegan), a raffle and charity auction. Obviously as there is food involved you cannot just turn up on the night so please let me you are. coming and how many are coming and I can ensure you dont miss this night. nick@strokeinformation.co.uk
Single seats are available or tables of 10, half tables, double seats too. At the time of writing this, we have over 100 people attending but it would be great if we could double the figure, I just would love you to be there and get an understanding of strokes and how it can impact your life. The scary thing is that currently 1 in 6 people will experience Stroke, if the figures continue to increase as suggested that figure will get to 1 in 4, thats one person in FOUR. So will you please tell anyone you know about this night and let’s make it the best yet. Thank you
