2019 – December
December is amongst us and especially at this time of the year we tend to reflect on others, whats happened over the year, what we have or haven’t achieved, who has left us and who has come into our lives. We also enjoy our childhood and count the days down on our advent calendar and rejoice on the little treat that is behind every window, Yes I get the idea of counting the days down but we should if not make every day count. Thats right try not to count the days but make every day COUNT.
StrokeInformation have had a belting year, the reason I say that, is that we have been able to make a difference albeit a little one, we know we are not here to compete with the largest Stroke charity and as I have said that historically that was my objective but in all honesty it isn’t, it is about being different, about making a difference and give others HOPE and that is what all of this is about. We are ever so proud that we have made a difference this past year and we have managed to make a few people impacted by Stroke feel worthy once more and effectively that is the true ethos of the charity. In our recent bucket collection at Stockport County we managed to raise just over £300.00 and that truly is brilliant but what is even more fantastic is that over 4000 people were in the crowd at Edgeley Park to witness that StrokeInformation exists and is making a difference in our fantastic borough of Stockport and beyond.
If you would like to come along and support our Christmas Cracker, then be sure to pop on down to The Drill Hall, Cheadle on 14th December and if you are unable to make it but would like to support then please pledge a donation via SMS, thats by Texting the word “County” then the amount you would like to donate beit £1, £2, £5 or even £10 to 70085.
