2019 – February

Welcome to February 2019, another dry January completed for me and my own little personal fundraising project to kick off 2019 managed to raise  £270.00 for StrokeInformation.  Keep your eyes peeled for further events throughout 2019 and don’t forget you can always do your own thing to help us help others #GetInvolved.

What have been up to, well the drop in which is every single Wednesday, 10am – 12pm is picking up and is COMPLETELY FREE.  In addition to the drop ins, we are being referred to by other professional bodies like the NHS, our local hospitals, not so local GP practices, basically anyone anywhere who needs our help and support.  It isn’t my place to name names but it really does prove that what we do works, YES it really works.  Someone we helped recently who has been deemed fit for work, which we know isnt true, so we appealed with further doctors notes, we have managed to overturn the decision yet again and now this stroke survivor is to get the benefit that they were entitled to and had been stopped last March, they have now had it reinstated and whatsmore back dated to March 2018.  #WeCareBecauseWeveBeenThere.  If you need our help, please do not hesitate to contact us, our service is totally free and totally confidential.
