2019 – March

As we welcome March, I would just like to say that our drop in’s are proving to be successful indeed and considering February was a short month we have had our biggest attendance at the drop ins last month, so it goes to show that they must work.   Along with that a bit of a back handed compliment as I noticed via social media that the national charity are just about to launch drop ins in the North East.    What a great idea !!  (“,)  !!   As February drew to a close I was made aware that the local CCG had commissioned the National Charity again in our area, 3 years after they left citing lack of local authority funding…..well they obviously have funding again for a bit, where as we don’t get that kind of funding but we still continue to operate and go from strength to strength.    I appreciate we cannot reach everyone and we cannot help everyone but just to show the power of technology, we had a call this week from a fellow stroke survivor in Falkirk, Scotland looking for help and what really sums it up is our hashtag #WeCareBecauseWeveBeenThere   we will take it on the chin and as the saying goes carry on regardless because we know that what we do works!!!
